The promises, in writing
What Kaira is, and what it will never be.
The AI for nursing development that is built so it cannot harm a patient or expose a nurse.
What Kaira is
A place to grow, with proof.
A place to reflect and be coached
You talk about the shift you actually had. Coaching comes back warmer than it went in and names the competence inside the mess.
A record that is yours
Your competency record belongs to you and travels with you: across units, across employers, across the whole career.
Your people
Your preceptor, a shift partner, a cohort. Collaboration, never an audience. No followers, no leaderboards.
A community governed by nurses
The framework lives in a nursing-led non-profit foundation. Educators and practicing nurses vote on every change.
What Kaira is not
Four lines we will not cross.
Not your employer watching
A manager can never read your reflections. Not by request, not by setting, not by subpoena to a config file. The employer firewall is enforced in the database schema itself: the rows are simply not readable. What an employer can see is the competency record you build, the same record you see.
Not clinical decision support
Kaira coaches you, never the patient. It cannot touch an order, a chart, or an EHR. Ask it what dose you should have given and it will decline and point you back to your preceptor, your protocols, and your team.
Not a test you can fail
No scores, no streaks, no rankings, no comparison to other nurses. Evidence accumulates; it never counts down. A hard shift is material, not a demerit.
Not a data broker
Reflections are de-identified before storage. AI involvement is disclosed on every coached view, in line with the AAN AI policy. Your words are never sold, never used against you, never shared without your say.
