For nursing students and new graduates
A profile that grows with you.
If you drove home from a shift thinking you were behind, you are not. BSN, second-degree, or six months into a job that does not fit: Kaira turns each reflection into evidence of how you are actually growing, across rotations, jobs, and years.

Walk-through video landing soon
“I have three rotations left and I still cannot tell whether I am better suited for ICU or oncology. I would like my own data on the question instead of asking my friends.”
“The residency is real. The preceptor observations are good. I just want them to land somewhere I can hold onto when I rotate off the unit.”
“My orientation was three weeks of shadowing and a thirty-page binder. I am not asking the platform to be a residency. I am asking it to be the thing that gives me a chance to build one for myself.”
Current students
If you are mid-BSN and trying to figure out which specialty actually fits, Kaira is the framework most clinical instructors are starting to use to read your growth. You can self-check against the same sub-competencies your preceptors observe. You can see your reflections cluster, over months, into the Practice you are strongest in. You can talk to peers from your cohort and from outside your school without making it a public profile.
New graduates in a formal residency
If you are six months into a real twelve-month residency, your preceptor observations can land on Kaira so the picture you are forming of yourself includes their data, not just your own. The same employer-firewall holds: your reflections are yours alone. Your residency record is yours alone. Your employer can see the things you let them see, and nothing else.
New graduates without a formal residency
If your 'orientation' was three weeks of shadowing and a binder, Kaira is the residency you did not get. You are not on your own. Your cohort is other nurses at your stage, sorted by graduation year and region, not by your employer's org chart. After fifteen journal entries we help you find a preceptor (peer or paid) to unlock the parts of the framework you cannot grade alone.
Before you commit a license to it
Figure out which specialty fits.
Specialty choice is one of the highest-stakes calls in early-career nursing. Most students make it on gut feel, and on whichever preceptor is open that semester. Two free tools, both grounded in the same Five Practices framework you grow against: a 21-question nursing personality quiz that surfaces where you naturally lean, and a specialty atlas tagged by the Practices each one rewards. Take them in either order. Re-take after a rotation. The picture sharpens with reps.
Employer firewall
No employer reads your private record. Ever.
Your journal is yours. Your reflections are yours. Your self-assessed sub-competency map is yours. The firewall is a schema-level rule (author-scoped queries, audit-logged reads), not a policy promise we could quietly soften. If an employer or school pays for your seat, they see aggregate metrics on the cohort, not individual records. They cannot read your name in the journal under any circumstance. If we ever change this, we will tell you in advance, and you will be able to export everything and leave.
Open a record before your next rotation.
Cohorts open by graduation year and region. We'll email you when yours starts.
